The NAD Centre, UQAC and Autodesk at the Montreal International Game Summit!

In addition to organizing a 3D Content Creation Contest in collaboration with Autodesk, students present at the Game Summit will be able to attend several conferences presented by UQAC, the NAD Centre and Autodesk on November 8 in the D3D zone.

On the agenda: at 10 a.m., Jonathan Tremblay, a UQAC Master student, will speak to us about game mechanics to design serious games that are playable and fun. At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Louis Marcoux of Autodesk will present his conference entitled “Tips and Tricks with 3DS Max”. Then, Carl Callewaert (Measurand/GAIF), Graduate of the NAD Centre Film program, 2000 winter session, will explain how to design an iPhone game using Autodesk Animation Academy and the game engine: Unity. Finally, at 2:30 p.m., Marc-Antoine Desjardins, Graduate of the NAD Centre Film program, 2009 winter session, will present his conference based on the theme: “Tips and Tricks with Softimage”.

At the same time as the conferences are being held, the NAD Centre will also be sharing a booth with UQAC in the Education zone on November 8 and 9. Feel free to come see us to obtain more information about our Bachelor’s in 3D Animation and Digital Design or to speak with one of our students!
